On October 6, 2007, KCLU was proud to be a part of the 2008 WOOF Contest at Bootleggers / Missie B's. There were 2 Bear contestants, and 2 cub contestants. It was a great contest, and a great night at the bar. Our resident emcee FATboy joined Shameless as the emcees of the contest. Congratulations to our winners Bear Rick and cub patrick! |

In February, 2004, on the same day at the Heart of America Leather Woman and Leather Man contests, KCLU held a Winter session of workshops. We were lucky enough to have two national titleholders - American LeatherMan Bill Mitchell and American LeatherWoman sheryl dee - as presenters. Workshop topics included play piercings, impact play, interrogation scenes, and the history of the leather girl movement. In September, 2003, in conjunction with the Mr. DB Leather and the Heart of America Leather boy contests, KCLU held our Fall session of workshops. Once again, we brought together all facets of the S/M community to learn and share knowledge. Workshop topics included branding, how to be a boy, cutting, and singletail. Branding Special Guest Instructor Michelle Teaches the basics of branding. Mmmmmm - gotta love the smell of blazing flesh in the afternoon! Check out the final design!
S&M 102 Terry goes over a little more advanced informatin for those interested in S&M 102.
Bootblacking slaveboi eddie (Int'l Ms Bootblack 2003) shows how to do a GREAT boot shine.
KC Antiviolence Project Doug from the KC Anti-Violence Project discusses the difference between S&M and domestic violence.
Whipping / Singletails Bill teaches how to use your whip to it's fullest extent. it's the lash and the kiss.
CBT - Cock and Ball Torture Anthony tells all the tips, tricks, and techniques for Cock and Ball Torture.

In June, 2003, KCLU held the Spring session of workshops. The workshops brought together all facets of the S/M community - gay, straight, men, women, etc. Workshop topics included percussion play, scene negotiation, wax play, and water sports. In addition, we had a special guest lecturer - Jack Rinella, from Chicago, spoke on the view from the bottom, the view from the top, and dungeons.
Percussion Play Janet gave instructions on how to get started with Percussion Play - hitting, spanking, smacking, and just generally beating on someone.
Leather Care Scott R., Heart of America Leatherboy 2002, demonstrated the proper care and maintenance of leatherwear, including boots.
Negotiation Headmaster Shane, Heart of America Leatherman 2003, giave a presentation over scene negotiation techniques and communication skills in BDSM.
S&M 102 Headmaster Terry discussed S/M 102 - it's a little advanced, but still with the basics.
Watersports Chuck, Heart of America Leatherboy 2003, shows his GOOD side for the Watersports demo. I can't even begin to show you pictures from later in the workshop...
Wax Play The attendees of this class learned that there's something awful fun about a waxy head.
